DATADVANCE at the Exploration and Production Offshore Congress Hub EPOCH 2019

On 16-17 September 2019, DATADVANCE participates in the EPOCH 2019 - Exploration and Production Offshore Congress Hub, a closed-door upstream event for experts in Offshore Oil & Gas industry, to be held in Thessaloniki, Greece.

The Congress addresses commercial aspects of the upstream offshore sector ― key trends and tendencies in the offshore petroleum sector, cost efficiency, sustainable profitability, asset integrity and lifetime extension together with HSE issues and new investment perspective projects ― and focuses on the cutting-edge technical and IT solutions for exploration and production.

Eric Giry, Lead Flowlines Engineer at SAIPEM, will present the “Machine Learning of subsea pipeline reeling mechanisms” paper, co-authored by DATADVANCE application engineers. The paper describes the results of collaboration between DATADVANCE and SAIPEM ― an application example of using process automation and design exploration tools combined with statistical regression techniques of pSeven in the pipeline engineering tasks. These tasks require the computationally expensive FEA models, and the paper discusses the use of predictive models built with pSeven and other functionalities to capitalize on the data and alleviate the design time and cost.
